For our client, an innovative and growing tech company based in Bratislava, Slovakia, we are seeking a talented and motivated PHP Developer to strengthen their development team.

What You'll Do:

As a PHP Developer for our client, you'll be instrumental in developing, maintaining, and enhancing their web platforms and applications. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Software Development: Designing, coding, testing, and deploying high-quality PHP-based web applications and features.
• Backend Development: Building and maintaining robust backend systems, APIs, and integrations with various services.
• Database Management: Working with databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) to design schemas, write efficient queries, and ensure data integrity.
• Code Quality & Best Practices: Writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, adhering to coding standards and best practices.
• Troubleshooting & Debugging: Identifying, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues and bugs in existing applications.
• Collaboration: Working closely with front-end developers, UI/UX designers, project managers, and other team members in an agile development environment.
• Performance Optimization: Optimizing application performance, scalability, and security.
• Continuous Learning: Staying up-to-date with the latest PHP versions, frameworks, and web development trends.

What You'll Bring:

We're looking for a candidate who is not only technically proficient but also a proactive problem-solver and a collaborative team player.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience: Proven experience (3+ years) in PHP web development.
• PHP Expertise: Strong proficiency in PHP 7+ (ideally PHP 8+) and solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
• Framework Knowledge: Hands-on experience with at least one modern PHP framework (e.g., Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter).
• Database Skills: Solid experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL, including database design, optimization, and writing complex queries.
• Web Technologies: Good understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and experience with RESTful APIs.
• Version Control: Proficiency with Git for version control.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug and optimize complex code.
• Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.
• Team Player: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Language: Fluency in English is required.
